About Me

I set up my private practice in London in 2019 and then relocated to York in the summer of 2023.

Prior to working in private practice, I worked as a trainee counsellor for several years across a number of London based community counselling services, and also completed short-term honorary placements in Mind and the NHS.

I also have over ten years experience working in the corporate sector supporting teams and individuals as a Project Consultant and Change Manager .

I’m an “Integrative” counsellor and therapist which means that I studied a type of therapy that encourages open and independent thinking. My training involved learning about topics such as relationship with self, trauma, shame and attachment through the lens of many different theorists and therapeutic approaches (e.g., Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Existential and Gestalt). And as such I weave together what I consider to be the most useful of each. From this base, I aim to create an open space that is unique to each client I work with.

I’m a registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I subscribe to the UKCP Code of Ethics and Professional Practice.
